Who Needs Pants Anymore?

TRENDY TUESDAZE

Even though it is a war zone outside right now, I just wanted to list a few things that I honestly am loving about this quarantine. I focus so much on the negative and the sadness in it all that I forget there is still so much to be grateful for. Today is a day for a perspective shift!

WHAT AM I GRATEFUL FOR?

#1

no need for pants

It is honestly a dream to be able to do virtual events, Instagram lives, interviews or meetings with no pants on. All you need to do is spruce up a little bit from the waist up, and BOOM, you’re good. I don’t even have to put lotion on my knees…now that’s a win!

#2

have more fun with the creative process and NOT rush

Before the pandemic started, the world moved at this super sonic speed of busyness. We paused to check our phones or to eat or we just continued doing our tasks while checking our phone and while eating. These past 4 months have really slowed me down and allowed me to not be so results driven and just create because I enjoy it. So many people have a side hustle, and I think we lost what it means to just do things for fun and not have to monetize everything. I am so grateful to be able to have the time now to just create and express myself with nowhere to go.

#3

snacks, snacks & more snacks

IMG_1657.jpg

As much as I complain and whine like a baby about how bad I want to go play outside with my friends, I have to remember what is really going on in the world and I am extremely blessed. I have not went without food or water any of the days and not all families or homes are privileged enough to eat well during this pandemic. I never run out of quarantine snacks, and that is something that might be so small to someone else but also might be such a luxury to other people. This has reminded me how much we overlook things that others would be extremely thankful for.

#4

WiFi!!!!

I am sure my introverts are hoping everything stays lockdowned until 2022, but I am craving for the chance to be at a music festival with my friends eating great food and dancing to even better music. The ability to connect with the outside world during this time has been so crucial for me. Without the internet I wouldn’t have been able to experience these dope virtual events, or received inspirational content, or been able to Face time with my friends and family. My laptop and my phone have been my best friend during these times, and it might sound spoiled of me to say, but I am beyond grateful and wouldn’t know how I would’ve survived all these months without them.

Again…why did I list these things?

Because before the pandemic, I honestly wasn’t grateful for any of this. I took them all for granted, among many other things, and I wanted to bring that awareness to everyone. What have you taken for granted pre-pandemic?

What now are you so grateful for these past 5 months?

Comment below in the comments section, I would love to hear more about yall’s journey?
