We Been Tired.
If you are that person that changes the channel when the sad commercial of children from Africa come on, then keep reading. The majority of us do not like to watch, read or listen to things that make us uncomfortable. We prefer to be encouraged, happy, and entertained in any way possible. Life is “easier” when we can escape from all the world’s problems right? NAH. This problem has BEEN a problem and can no longer be ignored, because the well being of Black lives have BEEN ignored. So yes you will see for the millionth time that…
BLACK. LIVES. MATTER.
If that offends you, then let me say that you being offended DOES NOT matter to me. Exit this blog if that makes you uncomfortable to read or if yelling through my CAPSLOCK makes you uncomfortable. This is a blog to educate and inspire. Not to walk on eggshells for the people that can not even agree that another human being’s life matters. And that any race outside of the white race in America has been uncomfortable our whole lives. Especially the Black race. If you are wondering why I am capitalizing the word Black, it is because I am not a color. I am not a crayon in a crayon box. I am a person. We are people. We are a culture. We are magic. Magic is hard to understand, I know, but just know we are powerful and our power will no longer be lowercased for anybody’s comfort.
That is exactly what the Black Panther Party was about, reminding the Black community of their power. If you think they were just this violent group that caused chaos, please keep reading.
The Black Panthers Party for Self Defense were created by two college students.
Educated black men.
Young black men.
Revolutionary black men.
NOT violent criminals as some history books like to recall them as. It is wayyy past time to put some respect on their name. It is time for our young generation to rise up and start another revolution.
IT IS TIME.
Okay my gullies…quick history lesson:
What did the Black Panther Party want to change in the 1960s?
The SAME change that we as Black people want in 2020!
Sad right?
Take a look.
condensed version…
FREEDOM.
JUSTICE.
PEACE.
EQUALITY.
Why are those points so hard to fathom and achieve? Black and Brown people all over the world can really band together and get revenge, YET all we want is equality. They did not write the Constitution for us. They did not have us in mind at all. They still don’t and they never will unless we demand it. We must demand it. These are very BASIC NEEDS and yet the system still has not provided these basic needs. in 2020.
Like, c’mon.
Let us just be equal and have REAL freedom already.
The government dismantled The Black Panther Party because they were getting “too loud” and getting too much done on their OWN. The BPP implemented programs themselves instead of waiting for the white people to do it for them. Let us all research more and learn more from the people that came before us. They truly understand the meaning NO JUSTICE NO PEACE. The government might of thought they got rid of them, but they live in us. We need to demand this Ten - Point Program over and over and over until they have this shit memorized. I am tired of being nice. Our ancestors are tired of us being nice. They tried to silence a revolution that is about to come back louder and stronger. But only if we come together and rise up TOGETHER.
My best friend posted this the other day and I really sat there and wondered what if we followed this code? We could really fight back and really win.
I truly believe they did this on Black Wall Street, and yet they were bombed. They came together and owned everything and was self sufficient, yet they were bombed. They protected and built each other up until they were bombed. Doesn’t that tell you something? We have the power in us. They just keep trying to take it away. Well let’s keep protecting and building shit until they have no choice but to let us be. It is time for the millennials to band together. Who is ready? Who is really ready to make a change? Let’s keep protesting, keep building programs for us, keep buying from us, keep organizing and never stop. Our generation has been spoiled and it is time to fill the shoes of our ancestors and step up and get from behind our phones and take action.
