This quarantine/lockdown/COVID19, or whatever whirlwind you want to call it, is not a coincidence. The whole world staying in and giving the Earth a break was NEEDED. It was needed a long time ago actually. We have abused this planet. We have over-consumed. We have neglected the ways of the ancient people all for profit, greed, and power. We are so disconnected. The Earth provides deeper knowledge, teachings and symbolism that we all look past sometimes. Nature has been my greatest teacher and I am forever grateful for it.
What would life look like if we all reconnected back to the place that is keeping us alive? Just pause and think about that for a bit.
Maybe you are asking why am I so passionate about nature? Because it is truly my anti-depressant.
I love hiking. I love staring at the clouds. I love analyzing different patterns in different plants. I love capturing the stillness and the movement of nature at the same time. I love the way water flows. I love the fluffiness of white snow.
Okay clearly you get my point.
I am truly inspired by nature. When nature is not tampered with or abused, it brings me pure joy unlike anything else. I give thanks to all things that make me feel powerful, beautiful, important, loved and one with the planet. I hope the places I have traveled to and the pictures I have taken give you just as much joy too and make you feel just as loved!
HAPPY EARTH DAY!
The clouds greeted me and I felt like I was in the heavens. I felt like I mattered enough to even be eye level with something I always dreamed of bouncing on. Thank you clouds.
No rush hour traffic. No horns blaring from impatient drivers. No stoplights or highways or buildings. Just pure oxygen filled my lungs as I sat there for hours soaking in the silence and beauty. Thank you forest.
I love how the snow just blankets over everything so gracefully. The earth still peeks through to say hello and makes its presence known. Thank you snow for reminding me to do the same when I feel things weighing down on me.
Looking inside flowers you find that each one has an inner world of it’s own. Each one created different. Each one stunning in its own way. If only we could see each other that way. Thank you flowers.
Mountains are my favorite thing in nature. They stand tall. They are immovable. They are majestic, secure and reliable. I am now manifesting that within myself. Thank you mountains.
It is something so calming and peaceful about water flowing between rocks. This stream is like life. The water forever changes directions and flows in whatever way it needs to go. As life changes, we still are intact. We do not need to be flustered and stressed, just sit still as the rocks do. Thank you rocks.
These cool looking plants don’t fall over, no matter how skinny they are, they are so balanced. The wind blows and they still stand unapologetically. Thank you plants for reminding me of the same power within me. No matter what emotional weather I feel, I can remain balanced.
Trees have always been so magical to me. Blame it on the movies Pocahontas or Avatar, but I believe there is a strong spiritual meaning in each tree. They get life from their roots and would shrivel without them. What are you rooted to? What is your foundation? Thank you trees for your oxygen, your life and the endless symbolism you provide.
Keep growing until you reach the sky. Never stop growing. Pierce through the clouds with your dreams and never let anybody bring you down from them.
