I just want to stress about keeping my Tamagotchi alive.
And being sad when a Rugrats episode is done.
Who told us that adulting was fun?
Can anybody relate???
If you are a 90s baby I am sure you understand the struggle of adulting today. And if you aren’t a 90s baby, you can still admit that this era was one of the best. Sometimes it would just be nice to jump in a time machine and go back to being a fearless, joyful kid that had no worries in the world.
I might have endured some childhood trauma, but I still can remember the good times. We weren’t scrolling on social media comparing ourselves to people faking their happiness. We were just happy. We played outside, explored, rode bikes, played board games, and just lived in the present moment.
Our generation has so much anxiety surrounding what we should be, what we should wear, what job we should have, what place we should live, do we have enough friends, did we get enough likes on our post, can we trust people, do we have enough money to buy these chicken wings and pay our car note, insurance, rent, light bill and still have fun this weekend…IT IS TOO MUCH.
I am writing this post and posting pictures to reminisce on the good ol’ days. The days when our stresses were about the smallest things, but back then they were huge to us. Change your perspective my gullies. Are we stressing about things that TRULY matter as adults? Or our we just getting sucked into society’s pressures and expectations of who we should be? Or what we should be doing? Enjoy your day today to the FULLEST. Be in the present moment. Tap into your inner child and remember how free you felt without technology, social media, and all the stresses that come with this busy ass world we live in today.
LETS GO BACK TO THE 90s!!!
Click through the memes below and just remind yourself how far we have came and just how silly some of our stresses were back in the day. Honestly though, can you believe that it has almost been 30 yearssssss since the 90s. WHOA!
ENJOY THE 90s PHOTOSHOOT!
The 90s for me was all about being colorful, expressive, bold, free and just full of JOY. What did the 90s make you feel?
