Under Construction…

TRENDY TUESDAZE

I am bringing you all the burgundy vibes today because this color really makes me happy for some reason. I had a blast getting dirty in my dress shoes because that is what being under construction is all about. Growth is sometimes icky, uncomfortable, and can feel like it takes a thousand years to arrive. We want to “arrive” so quickly and be where we want to be in life so fast because of this microwave world we live in. We think things are supposed to happen overnight, but building things from scratch take time. It is okay.

My new mantra for this year:

WHAT’S THE RUSH?

We are all under construction.

Love yourself anyway.

Be patient with yourself while you are still building.

Show yourself some self compassion during the blueprint phase.

Plan for the future, but do not look too far ahead where you stop enjoying the present moment.

Growth is beautiful.

Keep growing.

You are beautiful.

Keep developing.

Be aware of your flaws but do not judge them.

Perfection does not exist.

So just celebrate your awareness of the imperfections because that is the beginning of your glow up.

No matter how far away from your goals you are, stare them in the face and never look away.

Lay down the framework.

Lay down the roots.

Build the foundation first.

Don’t rush the growing process.

Take your time.

You pace is as brilliant as anybody else.

Love the journey of it all.

Be proud of how far you have came.

Love the construction site you have built within yourself.

Even if you feel like you have a lot more building to do…
